CAFHC’s educational activities include speaking to community groups and individuals most likely to experience discrimination, and maintaining a strong working relationship with housing professionals. We believe that understanding the Fair Housing Act is the key to compliance.

To enforce the Fair Housing Act. We stand ready to assist in investigating credible complaints, filing administrative complaints with the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and mediating disputes. CAFHC’s testing program provides valuable, objective evidence of discrimination. Additionally, CAFHC recruits and trains attorneys throughout the region to bring civil lawsuits against housing providers when other efforts to end discriminatory practices fail.
